What is the best mustard for ham?
Original Sweet & Spicy. Our own finger sandwiches are ham and sharp cheddar on rye with it. If you like more bite, use Horseradish. Both are 9oz jars from our family in St. Charles, MO.
Ham and Cheddar on Rye
From our own finger sandwiches
When we make finger sandwiches for company, one of the three kinds is rye bread, ham and sharp cheddar cheese with Original Sweet & Spicy. The sweet in the mustard sits well next to the salt in the ham.
Cut them into triangles and put a fancy toothpick in each one. The whole recipe, with the roast beef and turkey versions, is on our sandwiches page.
