How We Hand It Out
A pretzel and a little mustard
At every live event we set out free tastings on a pretzel. A salty pretzel with a little mustard on it gives you an honest taste of what's in the jar, and then you decide for yourself.
It's a good way to eat it at home, too. Put some of each flavor in a small bowl and let everybody dip.
Which Jar to Dip In
Try all three and decide
Original Sweet & Spicy
$9.00 for a 9oz jar
Creamy and sweet. If you like a sweet dip with a salty pretzel, start here. This is the 1935 family recipe.
Hot & Spicy
$9.00 for a 9oz jar
Hot and sweet, with about the heat of a jalapeño or cayenne pepper. For the ones who want a kick with their pretzel.
Horseradish
$9.00 for a 9oz jar
A sweet base with a mild to medium horseradish bite that won't wipe out your sinuses. Our best seller.
Pretzels at Home
Soft, rods, bites or from the bag
Soft pretzels are the classic. Pretzel rods stand up in a glass on a charcuterie board, with the mustard jars next to them. Pretzel bites are easy to put out for a party, and the hard ones from the bag are fine for a snack at the kitchen table.
Brats and pretzels go together at a cookout too. Here is which jar we put on a brat, and there are more ideas on our recipes page. Let your imagination go crazy.
Common Questions
About mustard and pretzels
What mustard is best for pretzels?
It depends on how you like it. Original Sweet & Spicy is the sweet one, Hot & Spicy has about the heat of a jalapeño or cayenne pepper, and Horseradish has a sweet base with a mild to medium bite. At our table we let people try all three on a pretzel and decide for themselves.
Can I try your mustard on a pretzel before I buy a jar?
Yes. We give free tastings on a pretzel at every live event. The events page has where we will be next.
What kind of pretzels go with mustard?
All of them. Soft pretzels are the classic, pretzel rods are good on a charcuterie board, pretzel bites are good for a party, and the hard ones from the bag work fine too.
Is your mustard gluten free?
Yes, all three of our flavors are. Most pretzels are not, so check the bag if that matters to you.
